Clean Up Australia Day

Clean Up Australia Day happens every year across the Tweed and around the country. For more than 30 years it has been a day that inspires and empowers our community to clean up, fix up and conserve the environment.

Each year there are a range of clean up events that happen across the Shire. You can either start your own clean-up or register with an existing one.

You can also hold a clean up event any day of the year!

Clean Up Australia Day 2024

Clean Up Australia Day is always the first Sunday of March. This year it is Sunday 3 March.

Get involved!

As a community member: whether it's just you, your friends or family, you can start your own clean up event or join a clean up in your area.

As a business: there are a range of ways your business can get involved, such as team building exercises, education events or a corporate challenge. Register your business through the Clean Up Australia Day. 

As a school: show your students the impact of waste on the local environment – and empower them to do their bit! Register your school through the Clean Up Australia Day.

As a youth group: encourage local youth to get together for a great course and clean up your local school, park or bushland. Register your Youth Group through Clean Up Australia Day.
