Camping and caravan parks

The Tweed is a great place to go camping. From waterfront cabins and luxury glamping to powered and unpowered RV and tent sites - there are lots of options.

Camping or overnight stays in our parks and reserves is not allowed.

Tweed Holiday Parks

Our 7 spectacular holiday parks are situated on or near a beach, river or tidal creek. Located from Tweed Heads to Pottsville, each park is a stone’s throw from the water’s edge offering a tranquil space to unwind and recharge.

Dump points

There are no public dump points in the Tweed. Most caravan parks allow paying guests to use their dump points.

No overnight parking

Overnight camping (or 'free camping') is banned in some coastal areas. These areas are clearly signed, with no parking between 11 pm and 5 am.

This includes areas in Cabarita Beach, Chinderah, Fingal Head, Hastings Point, Kingscliff, Pottsville and Tweed Heads.

Rangers and police patrol these areas, early morning and at night. On-the-spot fines are issued to anyone ignoring these rules.
