Council wants to support, develop and attract events that help build a vibrant Tweed community and support the Tweed to be a great place to live and visit.

Events sponsorship
The Events Sponsorship Policy(PDF, 262KB) provides a framework for distributing funding to support events that align with the vision of The Tweed Events Strategy 2024-2028 and the objectives identified in the Community Strategic Plan 2022-2032.
The provision of financial assistance and resource support to events will be considered annually through a competitive funding process. To determine which events Council will support, the policy outlines the:
- event experiences
- event categories
- levels of support
- support commitment
- assessment criteria (guiding principles)
- eligibility criteria
- application process
- assessment process
- conditions of funding.

2024-2025 Events sponsorship funding allocation
Council, at its meeting of 15 August 2024, resolved to allocate support to 20 events under the 2024-2025 Events Sponsorship funding round. A total of $99,764 has been allocated as follows:
