Community clean-up underway.
05 March 2025
We’re as ready as we could be for the impacts that will come from Tropical Cyclone Alfred in the coming days.
In this update, Mayor Chris Cherry outlines the most recent decisions including to suspend household bin services and close libraries and Council offices. She also talks about work that’s happened in the background recently like closing levee floodgates, updating road signage and moving Council vehicles.
As always, she encourages residents to visit the Tweed Emergency Dashboard to find updates on all Council services and facilities, as well as links to all the information you’ll need from other agencies.
