Cemetery staff are available during Council business hours. Please phone to make an appointment for all enquiries, including burial and ash interments.
Access
Access to parking is available from 6 am to 7 pm via the eastern entrance Monday to Sunday. This gate is on an automatic timer, opening at 6 am and closing at 7 pm (NSW time).
The western entrance closes at approximately 3 pm Monday to Friday and remains closed on weekends and public holidays.
Pedestrian access is available at all times.
Services
Services available at Tweed Valley include:
- at-need burial and ash interments
- burial and ash interment reservations
- a non-denominational chapel for services with optional kitchen hire
- outdoor stump area for services
- crematorium.
Burial options
Options include lawn burial sites. The cemetery is a lawn cemetery only, with no monumental sites.
Ash options
There are several picturesque options for permanent ash interments:
- tranquil memorial lawns and gardens
- Rainforest, Cordyline Memorial, Memorial Creek Garden and Rotunda
- memorial rocks and a Memorial Book.
Ashes can also be interred into existing grave sites.
Directions
From Murwillumbah
13 km or approximately 15 mins.
From Alma Street turn left onto Tweed Valley Way for 1.2 km, at the roundabout take the first exit to continue on Tweed Valley Way for 6.3 km to Condong (near bowls club), turn right onto Clothiers Creek Road for 950 m then turn left onto Eviron Road, then travel 8.13 km. The driveway is on the left as you exit the Pacific Highway overpass.
There are 2 routes from Tweed Heads
From Tweed Heads South: 18 km or approximately 18 mins.
From the M1/Pacific Motorway travel 6.6 km and take the Tweed Valley Way exit towards Tourist Drive 40 Murwillumbah for 1.3 km. At the roundabout take the second exit and stay on Tweed Valley Way. Travel 2.6 km and turn left onto Cudgen Road for 1.8 km, continue straight onto Duranbah Road for 2.9 km. Turn right onto Eviron Road. The driveway entrance is 600 m on the right.
Alternate route from Tweed Heads: 28.7 km or approximately 27 mins.
From the M1/Pacific Motorway take the exit toward Cudgen/Kingscliff (near BP Service station) for 650 m. Stay in the left lane and merge onto Tweed Coast Road. Travel 2.4 km to the traffic lights and turn right onto Cudgen Road, continue for 5 km to the end of Cudgen Road and turn left onto Duranbah Road for 2.9 km. Turn right onto Eviron Road. The driveway entrance is 600 m on the right.
