Defer your rate instalments
Financial support is available to ratepayers who can demonstrate impact or hardship arising from the flood.
If you have received the Disaster Recovery Payment or Disaster Recovery Allowance due to the February - March 2022 flood, consider applying to defer your 3rd and 4th quarter rate instalments for the 2021-22 financial year.
The instalments will need to be repaid over a two-year period from 28 February 2022. Council will not charge interest on the deferred instalments until 28 February 2024.
Please complete the form below and upload evidence, such as a letter from Centrelink confirming your eligibility for the Disaster Recovery Payment or Disaster Recovery Allowance.
You may also be eligible to save on water charges. Consider applying for a reduction in your water bill to cover the extra water used to clean your property.
