Water is a scarce and variable resource, which makes water efficiency everyone's business.

The Tweed Shire Council pursues a number of activities to improve water efficiency in the Tweed. Such activities are guided by the Integrated Water Cycle Management (IWCM) Strategy.

This section provides information on the IWCM as well as the other strategies that have evolved as a result of the IWCM Strategy, including the Drought Management Strategy as well as the Demand Management Strategy.

The timeline below graphically illustrates the work Council has undertaken to encourage people to use less water and reduce the demand for water across the shire.
