The Tweed River Festival was held every year from 2001 until 2017 as a celebration of environment and community and the importance of our waterways to our lives and lifestyles.

The week-long festival comprised a broad range of programs, activities, workshops and exhibitions all focused on the care, protection and enhancement of the Tweed's waterways and culminated with the luminous lantern parade by Light’n Up Lismore.

The Tweed River Festival is no longer held. For more information please contact the Unit Coordinator - Natural Resource Management, Jane Lofthouse, on (02) 6670 2400.
