Stotts Creek Resource Recovery Centre accepts general solid waste, construction and demolition waste, asbestos (see information for transport and disposal of asbestos ) and a wide range of recyclable items. Please note asbestos is NOT accepted on the weekends or after 2.30pm on weekdays, contact Council for further information.

Stotts Creek Resource Recovery Centre accepts cash, eftpos, visa, mastercard and cheque. There are also many items that can be taken to the tip for FREE disposal and recycling (175kB PDF).

Note: Proof of Tweed Shire residency is required to receive FREE recycling of select items and Tweed Shire waste rates.

Council monitors surface water and ground water at its landfill sites on a quarterly basis. It’s a requirement under the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997, that this be made public. For further information please see Environmental Monitoring.
