COVID-19 update

In line with NSW Government advice, up to 10 people can now sit to have a coffee, light meal or snack. The café will also continue to do takeaway (subsidised and affordable) meals.

Pre-ordered meals to go can be collected Tuesday to Friday 11am to 1pm.

The café opening hours are from 8am to 1pm Monday to Thursday until further notice.

Brett Street CAFE - Community Access For Everyone

Brett Street CAFE (Community Access For Everyone) at Tweed Heads is a convenient and welcoming place to grab a coffee and healthy snack, where you know that the money you spend is doing good - for people, for our planet and for the community.

Located in the newly-upgraded Tweed Heads Civic and Cultural Centre plaza complex, it's a perfectly located and easily accessible next to the Tweed Heads Library, auditorium and Council administration building.

A social enterprise initiative of Tweed Shire Council, Brett Street CAFE will generate income to support the delivery of Tweed Shire Council Community Services programs such as MisterChef and Stand Together to ensure local social purpose outcomes.

Brett Street CAFE meals to go

The Brett Street CAFE team has expanded its service and is offering convenient, fresh, chilled, ready-to-heat meals at an affordable or subsidised cost to anyone who needs them during the COVID-19 crisis.

There is a variety of healthy, and delicious options cooked and prepared at the Brett Street CAFE.

Subsidised meals will be available to eligible persons under the My Aged Care Meal Services and National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Step 1: Pre-order meals by calling the café on (07) 5569 3131 or order in person at the café by 12 noon for next day pick-up. You can also print the above form and bring with you to order in person. A 'grab n go' option is available, however not all items will be available unless pre-ordered.

Ask about subsidies for the My Aged Care Meal Services and National Disability Insurance Scheme when placing your order.

Step 2: Pick-up meals at the café between 11.30am to 1pm Tuesday to Friday or by arrangement. Home delivery and collection from central drop-off points is also being considered - please ask when ordering.

Updated opening times:
The café opening hours are from 8am to 1pm, Monday to Thursday for takeaway only until further notice. However, the café is open for 'meals to go' pick-up between 11.30am to 1pm Tuesday to Friday.
