Tweed District Water Augmentation Options Project
On exhibition from 22 October 2009 - 26 March 2010
Four short-listed options are being assessed to determine a preferred option to increase the future capacity of the Tweed's water supply. Council is inviting the community to comment on the short-listed options, the proposed Multi-Criteria Analysis process, any deficiencies or consultation gaps, and help to identify the environmental, social and cultural impacts of each of the options and how each might be managed. The object of this phase is to determine a preferred option for adoption by Council in early to mid 2010.

Draft Cobaki and Terranora Broadwater Catchment Management Plan
On exhibition from 22 October 2009 - 29 January 2010
The Draft Cobaki and Terranora Broadwaters Catchment Management Plan presents a schedule of recommendations for activities that will protect and restore the ecological health of these waterways. The document is underpinned by detailed water quality monitoring and ecosystem response modelling, and presents an analysis of issues such as shorebird habitat, rural catchment rehabilitation, the impact of major urban development, dredging, recreation and climate change.

Draft Pottsville Locality Based Development Code
On exhibition from 14 October 2009 - 24 November 2009
The exhibition is for a new locality based planning code which guides development in the Pottsville area over the next 25 years. The draft plan covers the village centre and surrounding residential and employment areas. The plan is structured in a way that encourages readers to look at the area holistically, recognizing the interplay between areas within the wider Pottsville locality

How to make your submission...
Any person may make a submission in writing. Written submissions will be accepted during the exhibition period and must be addressed to:

and received by 4:30pm on the closing date. Where the submission is in the form of an objection, the reasons for the objection should be given.
It should also be noted that Council has adopted a policy whereby, on request any submission including identifying particulars will be made public. Council will give consideration to the "Public Interest" and requests for confidentiality by submitters in determining access to submission letters. However, the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, 1989 may result in confidential submissions being released to an applicant.
