Laying the foundation for the two-year
City of the Arts Place Making Program, SADE will animate categories, scope and
priorities identified in Tweed Shire Council’s Public Art and Place Making
Policy. “...strategies for implementing the Public Art Policy will include an
integrated Public Art Program involving a combination of community cultural
development initiatives.”
This project will cultivate and promote a stronger local civic and cultural
identity. It will be produced under the Fifth City of the Arts umbrella spanning
the two-year calender of events. It will deliver a strategic and dynamic balance
of advocacy and advisory activities designed to increase broad participation in,
and appreciation of, art and its relationship to local identity and sense of
place.
