December 3 & 4 2004 - Tweed Shire City of the Arts 2003 - 2005
DisAbility Arts Forum The DisAbilty Arts Forum will be convened as part of the 2003 International Day of People with a Disability. The two-day forum of workshops, exhibitions, performers and speakers aims to explore the boundaries of difference and creative possibilities. It will bring together arts industry professionals, regional service providers and the disAbility community to plan and set the foundation for the following two-year program of arts and cultural activities. Stage 2: February 2004 - February 2005 - Implementing the Plan via Art Form Training. (Project title yet to be identified) Stage 2 comprises a twelve-month program of workshops and training in a range of disciplines. The specific disciplines and art forms to be explored will be identified via stage 1 planning session. Stage 3: 2005 - Celebrating the Outcome - Exhibition Program (title and date to be confimred) Stage 3 will amalgamate all creative elements developed via stages 1 and 2 and package them for presentation to the wider community via a series of exhibitions and public programs that will run throughout 2005. The theme for the exhibition program will be the celebration of the abilities of people with a disAbility. |
