The following tables show trends in water consumption throughout the Tweed Shire since 1991.

Key points from the tables are:

  • Residential consumption is around 60% of annual water usage
  • Daily residential consumption per capita has steadily fallen since 2002
  • The shire used less water in 2008 than it did in 1991
