Business Waste Reduction
Do you recycle, compost or re-use at home and then simply throw everything into the garbage at work because that's the only option available? Well, it's time to find out that it's not the only option available and Tweed businesses can put processes in place to help divert waste from landfill, and help save money on waste disposal services.
Tweed Shire Council supports the Business Waste Reduction Project run by the North East Waste Forum. The project aims to encourage on-site source separation and recovery systems and provide information to businesses on service and diversion opportunities through the media, industry groups and business networks.

Tweed Shire Council hosts the North East Waste Forum, a waste management group whose member councils also include Ballina, Byron, Clarence Valley and Richmond Valley, all working together to achieve sustainable waste and resource management across the region.
