Water and Sewerage Charges
Tweed Shire Council customers receive two Water Consumption Notices per year. The first will be received in January for the preceding Nov/Dec reading and the second in July for the preceding May/June reading.
Residential Properties
Water Access Charges
Residential customers will pay an annual charge of $118.00.
Applies to all land that is within 225 metres of a water main and able to be connected (whether connected or not).
Water Consumption Charges
Volumetric Charge – per kilolitre (1000 litres) between the periods of May/June 2011 readings to May/June 2012 readings will be charged at $1.85 per kilolitre up to
300kl and $2.80 over 300kl.
Sewerage Access Charges
Residential customers will pay an annual charge of $609.00.
Applies to all land that is within 75 metres of a sewerage main and able to be connected (whether connected or not).
Business Properties
Water Access Charges
This charge is based on Residential assessment charge, multiplied by the ratio of the meter size cross sectional area. (see Fees and Charges)
Water Consumption Charges
Volumetric Charge – per kilolitre (1000 litres) between the periods of May/June 2011 readings to May/June 2012 readings will be charged at $1.85 per kilolitre.
Sewerage Access Charges
Business customers will pay an annual charge of $609.00.
Sewerage/Trade Waste Charges
For a discharge volume greater than 180kl per year charged at $1.14 per kilolitre.
