The project has increased the library’s floor space from 619 square metres to 1054 square metres, and improved design to allow greater flexibility in how the building is used, including new areas to accommodate programs and user groups.

The improvements will include a new self-checkout system which will ensure Tweed Heads Library continues to meet the needs of a growing community with increasingly sophisticated needs, to become even more of a community hub as a valuable public resource and a social space.
