Local Government Week 2011
Local Government Week in NSW provides a focus for councils to promote the importance of Local Government to the community. Tweed Shire Council is hosting a range of great events and activities during Local Government Week to showcase some of Council’s day-to-day activities. All of the events during the week are FREE.
Join us as the week kicks off with the annual Family Fun Day, being held at the recently completed Jack Evans Boat Harbour. The harbour’s $8 million upgrade will be officially opened as part of the celebrations from 10am - 2pm on Sunday 24 July. In other Local Government Week events take a behind-the-scene tour at the Tweed River Art Gallery, get your lab coats happening to see the Tweed Laboratory in action or check out the 6.4million ultra filtration fibres at the state-of-the-art Bray Park Water Treatment Plant.
For all enquiries please call Customer Service on (02) 6670 2400.
