Bray Park WTP Upgrade

Last modified: 4 May 2009

Tweed Shire Council (TSC) requires to upgrade the Bray Park Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to increase plant capacity and to improve the existing water treatment process in order to meet future population growth within the Shire.

This project has been approved under Part-3A Major projects of the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and hence has received Ministerial Approval and is administered by the NSW Department of Planning.

Water is currently extracted upstream of the Bray Park Weir (Tweed River) and treated at the WTP prior to distribution to the water network.

The proposed plant augmentation forms the second part of a staged upgrade of the Bray Park WTP. The first stage (currently under construction) comprises a new water pump station with associated water reservoir tanks.

Please call 1300 300 677 (our 24hr toll free contact number) for further information.
