Active After-school Communities Program

Every year the Australian Sports Commission’s Active After-school Communities (AASC) program gets up to 150,000 children across Australia, including children from the Tweed Shire Council area, involved in sport and structured physical activities.

The AASC program, an Australian Government initiative, provides primary school children with free sport and other physical activity programs after school.

The AASC program aims to engage traditionally inactive children in sport and other structured physical activities, and through a fun and positive experience, develop a passion for sport that motivates them to join a local sporting team.

For more information about the AASC program, please visit www.ausport.gov.au/aasc.
