Tweed Shire Council has established various Council Committees that provide advice and recommendations to Council on a range of matters. Representation on the Committees includes community members and Councillors and are normally called for and appointed every four years, for the term of a Council.
Expressions of Interest - Council Committees
Expressions of Interest are called for community members to serve on the following Council committees for the next four years, coinciding with the 2016/2020 Council Term:
Tweed Coast and Waterways
Tweed Coast Koala Management
The Expressions of Interest form and terms of reference for each of these Committees are available to download here or in hard copy from Council’s offices at Murwillumbah and Tweed Heads to enable interested members of the community to review and determine if they would like to participate in the Committee’s operations. Expressions of Interest will be received until Friday 16 December 2016.
Expressions of Interest are required to include supporting information that explains how the applicant meets the criteria specified. These criteria are directly related to the roles of the committee. Supporting information should also include letters of support from relevant community or other relevant interest groups such as community associations. This is of particular relevance to committee positions that are identified as representing specific interest groups.
