Tweed Shire Council has established various Council Committees that provide advice and recommendations to Council on a range of matters. Representation on the Committees includes community members and Councillors and are normally called for and appointed every four years, for the term of a Council.

Expressions of Interest - Council Committees

Expressions of Interest are called for two community members to serve on the Tweed Coast and Waterways Committee.

Council requires two representatives only to compliment this existing committee. Representatives are sought from the following specific locality and river user group:

  • Kingscliff community
  • Power boat users

The Expressions of Interest form and terms of reference for this Committee is available to download here. Expressions of Interest will be received until 23rd June 2017.

Expressions of Interest are required to include supporting information that explains how the applicant meets the criteria specified. These criteria are directly related to the roles of the committee. Supporting information should also include letters of support from relevant community or other relevant interest groups such as community associations. This is of particular relevance to committee positions that are identified as representing specific interest groups.
