Update - Tourism and Marketing Services

Council advises that the contract for the provision of tourism promotion and marketing services, currently held by Destination Tweed, expires 30 September 2018.

In order to continue this important service Council is currently undertaking a procurement process to re-test the market, with the assistance of expert advisors, including an external Probity Advisor to oversee the conduct of the process.

In the short term there will be a round of consultations with selected stakeholders to develop the specifications and KPI’s for the required services for incorporation in the tender documents, following which a workshop with Council will be held.

After the workshop a public call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) is expected to be advertised before the end of Feburary, at which time any interested party may apply. EOI responses will be assessed, and a short list prepared with those parties being invited to participate in a selective tender process.

It is anticipated that a report recommending the preferred supplier will be submitted to Council for determination by the middle of 2018.

All queries and communications in relation to this procurement process must be made in writing to the following single point of contact established for this process at: tourismcontract@tweed.nsw.gov.au.
