Tourism is a significant driver of the Tweed Shire's economy, contributing an estimated $278 million to Gross Regional Product.
Council owns and operates a number of award winning tourist facilities:Destination Tweed
is the body responsible for promoting Tourism in the Tweed and is contracted by Council to promote Tweed as a tourism destination, identify new tourism, and operating four accredited Visitor Information Centres throughout the Shire.Destination Tweed
