The 7 Year Infrastructure and Services Plan has been largely built around the priorities identified in the development of the plans, through the Community Perceptions Survey and through recognition of Council's role in governance, community protection and regulation.

10 categories have been identified
1. Facilities supporting Community Life $20,577,000
Supporting access to a range of services and facilities recognising the importance of social well-being and ensuring a safe, inclusive and equitable community.
2. Programs supporting Cultural Development $5,049,000
Promoting a culturally diverse and vibrant Tweed Valley community which supports creativity and innovation and celebrates its rich social history.
3. Programs supporting Social Development $1,840,000
Creating a community where people have better access to facilities and services.
4. Transport and Road Programs $16,895,200
Maintaining a safe transport network suited to community requirements.
5. Parks and Recreation Programs $38,630,000
Providing a range of active and passive recreational facilities and environmental open space.
6. Community Safety and Protection Programs $4,526,400
Ensuring the community is afforded maximum safety and protection from natural disasters.
7. Projects supporting Economic Development and Tourism $4,255,000
Encouraging economic growth and tourism through the provision of quality services, strategies and infrastructure for the betterment of the community.
8. Projects protecting the Environment $26,648,700
Protecting and enhancing environmental values and providing for sustainable growth and development.
9. Leadership and Governance $13,898,140
Providing leadership and effective decision making with sound financial and resource management.
10. Planning for Sustainable Living $1,342,900
Creating sustainable living for the current and future residents of the Tweed.
